“The favourites” is a drama written by a young Swiss playwright Laura de Weck (born 1981), which explores the lives of university students and tells about the emotional chaos of the young generation. They, under the influence of contemporary media and social networks, where anybody becomes a friend just with clicking a mouse, lose the ability to communicate, and often fall into the level of mindless bragging about nothing or inability to even talk face to face. This play in its form and content points out this phenomenon and therefore is up-to-date and urgent.
Opening night: 11th September 2011 in Palace Akropolis
FAVOURITE PEOPLE
“This performance aims to those who is speaking about – young, confused and solitary people. More that a whole story, its more a mosaic of pictures from their life proving the existential chaos of youngest generation in digital world. I am sure that lots of young would find identifying pictures as well as ways how to solve their problem."
